Welcome to the Davenport Trust
The Davenport Trust is a new Norfolk charity set up to help people of all ages to recognise and deal with the symptoms of depression, an illness from which, unbelievably, one if four of us suffers.

The Trust takes its name from Shaun Davenport, a 17 year-old student at Hewett School, Norwich, who faced a bright future, yet took his own life in January 2003. It is widely understood that Shaun suffered from depression.

The pointlessness of this single, tragic event, gave birth to The Davenport Trust, whose principle work is to publish helpful books, at regular intervals, containing writings by all age groups which chronicle personal views on depression and how it can be combated.
